| Well after the driest year ever recorded, not to mention the record breaking heat that accompanied the drought, it is a pleasure to report that land sales in Central Texas were rather crisp, certainly an improvement over the previous two years. I feel very fortunate to announce that Rio Brazos Real Estate, Inc. has aquired two new real estate agents; Jennifer Fletcher and my wife of 34 years Cindy Van Deventer. With this team of good people we look forward to serving the counties of Central Texas for many years to come. |

| All the economic indicators, despite what you hear on the news, look promising for 2012, especially for Texas the state that was last to concede to the recession and the first to lead the way out. While skimming over Tierra Grande, a quarterly publication published by the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University, they listed nine reasons why people are investing in Texas and most of it has to do with the Texas economy that's big and getting bigger. Don't forget Texas A&M, in the near future, will be receiving federal money for a medical research facility which stated that over a billion dollars will be pumped into the economy over the next several years. If there was ever a time to be proud to be a Texan, it's now. |

As a real estate broker who specializes in land I have spoken to a lot of folks over the last several years in regards to property values, mineral rights, water rights, clearing land, drilling water wells........, if I don't know the answer I know someone that does, so if you would care to give me or one of my agents a call to discuss your property, sell your property or buy more land; a phone call still doesn't cost anything. |
